I am directed by the Board of Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 28th ultimo; stating that Mr Brewer has been appointed Engineer and Shipwright Surveyor at Hong Kong, subject to his obtaining a Medical Certificate as to his fitness for service in a tropical climate, and requesting to be informed when he will be ready to leave for the Colony in the event of his medical examination being favourable.
