I am requested that you will be good enough to be informed that his Lordship has appointed Mr. B. Brewer to the Office subject to his producing a certificate from a competent Mercantile Officer.
In the event of the Local examination as to his fitness for service in a Tropical climate, I should be glad to know the earliest date Mr. B. Brewer would be prepared to sail for the Colony.
