The Board's principal shipwright Surveyor for Iron Ships examined Mr. Brewer in 1878, and found him qualified to act as a Surveyor of Iron Ships.
Mr Brewer conducts the examinations of Engineers at Cork whenever Candidates present themselves.
He holds a First Class Certificate of Competency from this Board as an Engineer.
