McFlunket on his designation of the Registrarship of the Supreme Court for departmental reasons was allowed by the S.G. to retain the Registrarship of the Supreme & Admiralty Court & another small office, in order that he might be as little pecuniarily affected by the change, while Gibbon was informed by this Dept that he would not be appointed the then Registrar of the said Court as that office was already held by another Gentleman.
