Gebbons – Registrarship of V.A. Court
nothing was said in letter of appointment 15 January (annexed). (on 1/4/810)
He applied to the Admiralty 8 Feb.
The letter in which it is stated that he is not to have the Registrarship of the V.A. Court dated 23 Jan was sent to him on 4 Feb.
It is possible that he had not received that letter when he wrote to them.
He was told orally by Mr Branston (and Mr Bond) that he was not to have it.
This was before 28 Feb.
Before Mr Gibbons had official notice, he saw the copy of the letter sent to the Admiralty.
