may appoint a deputy subject to a power of revocation by the Admiralty, but all the powers of appointment conferred on the Colonial authorities appear to be subject to the power of the Admiralty.

Assuming that the Officer now exercising the duties of Registrar has not been appointed by warrants or letters patent, I would beg permission to suggest that the duties of Registrar of the Vice-Admiralty Court should from henceforth be exercised by the Officer filling the post of Registrar of the Supreme Court, and I would beg to submit an application to be appointed to the office from the time I may commence my duties.
