On the 21st October the Company sent in a Bill for $16,315.0, being $12,312.0 for 2411 yards of cable, and $400 for a day's hire of the cable steamer.
This gives about 1100 yards of cable more than contemplated by the Captain Superintendent; and the Company charges for the whole day's hire for the steamer, while the work occupied only 3½ hours as reported by Mr Deane.
