with reply was received the Acting Colonial Secretary Stewart put the following minute on the papers which he found had been filed and put in the Colonial Office in April last

"No intimation was given to the Crown

re this pension. Does Mr. Elves (the "Despatch Clerk") or Mr. du Boulay (the Fort Clerk "Anti Rice) Know Why?
