Copy of Minute by Acting Colonial Secretary.

My recollection of the matter is this: one day, W. Sibbons called at my office, and asked me whether we had got back the letter (C0.2329) in. He wished to withdraw it. I replied that I could do nothing in the matter without a written application. As he appeared, however, to be very anxious to get it at once, I suggested, as the Governor happened to be at Government House, that he should see His Excellency personally.

Soon afterwards, he returned, and said that all was right. As informed we had done, he seemed in much better spirits than before.
