that your explanations are not satisfactory As to render it necessary that your proceedings should be dealt with under Chapter IV Section II of the Colonial Regulations; and on this subject it will be my duty to communicate with you again.

2. I am further to inform you that I have received and laid before the Governor a communication from the Chief Justice inclosing letters from Mr. Justice Snowden from which it appears that pending the consideration of the Explanation, you were called upon to give by the Executive you persisted in making public statements of a similar character in open Court.

3. Under these circumstances the former Interdicting you from the further exercise of your functions as Registrar of the Supreme Court, as a provisional measure, until the regular steps have been taken according to Chapter IV Section II of the Colonial Regulations.

4. During this provisional interdiction you will continue to draw full salary; and Mr. Mossop will officiate as Registrar.
