Count Charlain, as reported in my 1085 & 214 June 1880, I appointed provisionally and on the recommendation of the Colonial Chaplain, Mr. Graph Wright, a Sergeant in the Police Force, to act as Clerk and Verger on three months' probation.
2... Jennings having reported favourably of Mr. Wright for the permanent post of Clerk and Verger, I have to submit his recommendation for your Lordship's approval. The Salary attached to the Office of Verger is 720 Dollars per Annum and that of Clerk to the Colonial Chaplain 540 Dollars per annum.
