In the minutes on 9404 it was pointed out that of
the 4000 R. C. claimed by Bishop Raimondi 1000
were Chinese. In the 1878
Blue Book, I find 75 European or American R.C. baptisms and 1496 Chinese R.C. baptisms

In the printed paper it is stated that the R.C.
comprises Portuguese 2500 Chinese 1000 Other Nationalities 500 4000This is in addition to 318 Roman
Catholic Government Employees' families. In the 1878 Blue Book I find
1496 Chinese R.C. baptisms (head not stated)
