I knew from his brother here applicant for the vacancy that he was an assistant at the Central School; but, as he was personally known to myself, I refrained from taking any part in his candidature.
As, however, his application has been referred by the Governor, I can have no longer any hesitation in recording my high opinion of Mr. Hutchison's qualifications for the post. He has just completed a thorough professional training, and has always taken a high place both as a teacher and a scholar, as his certificates sufficiently indicate.
