Overseer in the Survey Department,

on a pension of £342 per annum,

I issued the necessary instructions to that effect. Meanwhile, however his services had been required in the Survey Department and he had been retained in the public service, but he has now requested to be allowed to retire at the end of October next - I therefore have the honour to lay before Your Lordship fresh particulars for Mr. McLeod's pension in which it is certified by the Auditor General that Mr McLeod will be entitled to a retiring allowance of £408.80 per annum on his leaving the service on the 28th October next

I have the honour to be

My Lord,

Your Lordship's Most Obedient Humble Servant,

As finery.
