the receipt of the Governor's Order, notice is given to the Police that in

days from that time the prisoner

named in the order will be handed over to them to be dealt with as the order

directs. If the prisoner is to be branded, the tattooing is performed in Gaol previous

to his release, but in other cases the prisoner is simply

detained in Gaol at his resual work until he is handed

over

to the Police - 2f the Police desire to preserve a photograph of him, he is sent out to have it taken and then

brought back to Gaol until the seven

are up.
