Array Medical School, Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, 1st April, 1878,

The Professors of the Amay Medical School having been authorised by the Director General, A.M.D., by letter quoted in the margin, to testify regarding the connection of Surgeon F. C. Hewitt, A.M.D., with the School, and his position in the list of candidates who entered the service contemporaneously with him, hereby certify that Mr. Hewett went through the Netley enurses of instruction ou two occasions, viz., firstly as a Naval Mertical Candidate in the Summer Session of 1973-74, when he took the first place in the list of Naval Candidates, gaining a combined total at London and Natioy of 4,317 marke; and secondly as an Army Medical Candidate in the winter of 1875-76, when he took the first place in the list of Army Medical Candidates, ga'ning a combined total at London and Netley of 5,012 marks, Burgoon Hewett was attentive to his duties ar Nesley, and proved that he had good professional abilities.

Mr. F. Croawall Hewett has been well-known to me for soms years. During his pupilage at St. Bartholomew's Hospital he had su excellent reparation for diligence and general intelligenco. For some years past he has done good service in the Medical Department of the Army, and would have taken a high position in that service had be elected to remain in it. I am of opinion that Mr. Hewett is eminently qualified to hold any Poor Law appointment that he may aspire to, and I need only further aid that I shall he prepared to congratulate any community upon securing the services of so skilful and energetic a medical officer.

Hes been for some years a most zealous and in- dustrious stadent at St. Bartholomew's Hospital, and at the close of his curriculum he passed as first among the nuny candidates as Netley Hospital. distinguished himself in his medical career by carrying off some of the highest prizes at the Ruspital School, while in the Hospital he alled the various offices with Mr. He rez great advantage to the Institution.
