MY LORDS AND GENTLEMEN,

TO THE LIMERICK BOARD OF GUARDIANS.

bringing under your notice the above Advertisement, I beg to inform you that I have forward my Application for the Appointment, and hope I shall merit your support.

I hand you Copy of my Diploma, and Testimonials, and trust that you will kindly note that the same are only from Gentlemen thoroughly aquainted with me. I may state that THE FIRST, from Messrs. McAdam & Son, to whom I was apprenticed, is the result of their experienes of from 6 to 7 years. The second is from Messrs. J. P. Evans and Co., whose establishment. I entered after completing my apprenticeship. The third is from Messrs. J. & G. Boyd's, where am at present engaged. It will be observed, therefore, that I have found it only necessary to enter three establishments in early fourteen years. The fourth is om Professor Tichborne, successor to Sir Dominic Corrigan as President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland--the HIGHEST authority in this country,--- whose intimate knowledge of me enables him to vouch for my ability. The fifth is from Messrs. Thacker and Hoffe, eminent Chemists and Druggists, of Dublin; these Gentlemen know me for over twelve years, and introduced me to Messrs. Evans and Co. previous to my entering with them.

In the course of my career I won the confidence and respect of many Professional Gentlemen, and could procure testimonials from them to my ability, but I consider testimonials from comparative strangers of tot weight when compared with the ones I produce.

I remain,

My Lords and Gentlemen,

Your offiged servant,

THOLLAS S. HANCE.
