It was only last summer we completed the extension of the Naval Yard Pier at a cost of over £1300, in addition to which a pair of sheers were erected at a further cost of £500:
The necessity for the extension of the pier was caused by the silting of the Albany Mullah Mouth, which Silt was produced during the years 1876-77. principally by the cutting of the new road known by the name Kennedy Road -
