HONGKONG, JULY 19TH, 1879.

We lear from Canton that the thirteen pri- soners rendited the other day by the Hongkong Government after examination before the Police Magistrate, were executed on the 15th instant, together with another man captared at Tung Po It is asserted by the Chinese that the thirteen prisoners were not the real culprits, though they belonged to the murderers' olan; the real mar- derers have gone, it is believed, to Singapore. When in Canton the unhappy thirteen were sub. jected to the torture and confessions of guilt wrang from them.
