In the official report of a burglary committed on the 29th of August the Governor made a minute calling for the details of the night duties of the Police Force, and at the end of the following month (September) he referred the information so obtained together with all the records in the possession of the Government respecting Crime, Police, Deportation, Hogging, Prison Discipline, to a Committee of the Legislative Cormeil for their careful investigation and report.
