This is the story of the dramas, the heroisms, the sufferings and the tragedies that took place in a 28 ft. long lifeboat which in March 1942 drifted 1,000 miles across the Indian Ocean after the torpedoing of the Dutch ship Ronseboom.
Out of 135 people-including three women-who looked to the boat for survival only four lived through the voyage. This is the narrative of the sole white survivor, WALTER GIBSON of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
