A cliche but it sums up this remarkable young Englishman who was born 29 years ago amid the smoke, cobblestones, and tramlines of the Industrial town of Bury.
For Harris, World Professional Cycle Champion, is Sport's Mr Superman. Four years ago he found our cycling prestige lower than a pair of suspen- derless socks. The foreigners treated us with complete contempt.
