SCORPIONS MEET ARMY IN TOMORROW'S

- t

BEST MATCH

By "RECORDER".

Scorpions are at home to the Army at Chater Road in tomorrow's most promising match in the First Division of the Cricket League. KCC are hosts to the University at Cox's Road in another needle fixture.

The odds will be on the Scorpions to beat the Army, present teaders-of-and-one of the only two teams in the Senior League who have yet to lose a point.

KCC meet another team with all points intact-granted that these were scored against two of the fowlier-placed teams in the League-and may find it difficult to score a win.

If Army does not win tomorrow, the struggle for the League Championship should in the next few weeks see one team after another having its torn at the top of the table.

There are two more First Division games today-RAF v. Royal Navy and Commandos will IRC v. Optimists--and one tomorrow at Soakumpoo where the entertain Craigengower.

All the Second Division teams are closely matches with the University v. KCC game at Pokfulam the most promising.

London Rugby Is In The Doldrums Again

SAYS PETER LOVEGROVE

We are witnessing this season one more episode in the great London Rugby Clubs Mystery.

Nowhere else in the country is there such a concentration of talent. Eleven of the 26 players who were capped for England last year, five Scottish Internationals, four Irishmen and one Welshman all turned out at one time or another for clubs in the Metropolis, not to mention a large proportion of Blues.

The so called "Big Five" Blackheath, Richmond, Harlequins, Rosslyn Park and London Scottish-all enjoy considerable prestige and have contributed much to The game's history and development. Thy have splendid grounds, are never short of recruits and play a number of XV's every Saturday, and have a steady following. But results remain consistently poor and the standard of play is, by and large, I have seen most of them in action this pie unworthy of their great traditions. senson, and observed few signs of their difficulties being any nearer a solution.
