London, Aug. 19.-The race in the County cricket championship has more or less been reduced to the three leading Counties, all of whom won their matches, for both Surrey and Warwickshire, fourth and fifth respec- tively, lost ground when the current programme ended today.
By beating Derbyshire, Middlesex kept their 20 points lead over the two teams tied for second place-Worcestershire, who beat Kent yester- day, and Yorkshire, conquerors of Warwickshire.
