IN left panol above is F/Lt. Michao! Foamley, the RAF medical officer who was flown to the Yangte in April from Hongkong to attend to the wounded. He remained on board and returned with the ship. Right top panel is Coxswain Lestic Frank, who was at the wheel throughout Amethyst's. epic dash down river. Lower right panol is Tolographist Jack French, who was awarded the DSM for devotion to duty, in the carly days of Amethyst's detention.
