Games May Be Decisive
clubs
London, Apr. 13.-The 88 English Football League embark on the most exacting and important match programme of the season this week-end, the outcome of which will probably decide the majority of the promotion and relegation issuer.
Over Eastertide most League clubs will play three games in four days, and will also be forced to travel hundreds of miles.
This alone is a strain on the players and injuries are a telling factor on occasions such as these. If any first team men are injured in the opening games they have little time to recover and it is generally clubs with a good sel of reserves which do well.
In preparation for the task ahead several clubs have been giving pro- mising reserve men experience in the senior side.
This is a wise policy, since it ensures that these young players are pro- vided with the chance of finding their feet in Lenguo football before these matches and the critical closing weeks of the season.
Prior to the war it was the custom of many clubs to take their players away to seaside resorts for a few days' relaxation and turning up in readiness for the Enster games.

Primo Carnera, once one of the most plfied men in sports, needs no one's sympathy today.
