London, July 20. Forty Flying Squad police, in a des- perate battle with a gang armed with crowbars, bottles and spanners, today folled an at- tempt to steal-diamonds worth nearly £5,000,000 and £2,000,000 'woth of gold bullion from Lon-
don Airport.
