Karachi, June 23-Jute prices probably will fall some 10 percent at the next harvest, and this should be a suffi- cient declino to keep out serious competitive substitutes, according to a report submitted by H.S.M. Ishaque, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Health.
The report, which formed the basis of a two-day jute conference under the chairmanship of Communications Minister Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar, suggested that an inquiry be held into juto prices, currently high due to "world causes."
