Manila, Apr. 15.-President Manuel G. Roxas, 55-year old Pre- sident of the Philippines, died in Manila today. He was unofficially reported to have had a heart attack carlier after deliverng an anti- Communist speech to American Air Force officers at Clark Field, the American air base north of Mani

Born in 1892 and educated at St Joseph's College, Hongkong, and the University of the Philippines, Senor Roxas was elected to the House of Repre- sentatives in 1922.

He was Speaker until 1934, when he became a member of the Constitü- tional Convention.
