At the beginning, it was officially stated today, the only hard currencies to be dealt in will be the Uniteil States dollar and the Portuguese escudo. Other currencies may be admitted to the free market as. time goes on, it was authoritatively stated.
Exporters will surrender half their foreign exchange at the official rate and will be allowed to dis- pose of the other half in the free market.
