Welsh Unemployment Lowest On Record

The number of unemployed is now lower in Wales than ever, Official figures issued in September show the total of registered unemployed persons to be 39,750. These include 6,600 married women and 1,500 ex-Servicemen. There was a fall of 20,000 on the 1946 unemployment figur 28.

Shortage of raw materials, machinery, coal and electricity however, are still causing an- xiety. Many of the new "face tories producing for export will be unable to attain full produc-| tion until this is remedied.
