Washington, Jan. 12. The United States Army will have, in the immediate future, 1.500 Superfortresses ready in storage as a reserve flect of operating bombers, a United States Army Air Force announcement to-night disclosed.
The announcement added that those planes were being given special processing to protect them against rust, corrosion and deterioration while parked in open stor- age.
The ratio of reserved in the number of operational Superfortresses is not dis- closed but the Army Air Force plans to operate from July, 70 groups, totalling about 6,000 aircraft. Reuter.
