TEHERAN, Sept. 12 (Reuter).— Bread
queues took up position this morning as Teheran's food shortage, caused by events of the last two weeks, suddenly made itself keenly evident.
Meat was almost unobtainable and there
was a grave shortage of many other important foodstuffs.
The principal causes are the com- mandeering of lorries by the Persian Army and the stoppage of road and railway trame, which, however, has now partially resumed.
