The late Mrs Macfadyen died at the Queen Mary Hospital on Saturday. She was 70 years of age and had been a resident of the Colony for some

13 or 14 years. A skliful artist, Mrs Macfadyen's death will be heavily felt in local art circles. She was the founder and President of the Hongkong Working Artists Guild and a staunch supporter of the Catholle Youths' Society.

In addition to her husband, Major Mra A. N. Macfadyen, the Inte Macfadyen leaves behind a son, Mr Q. A. A. Mucfadyen, former Mogis- trate, and two daughters, with whom much sympathy will be felt.
