Oil Concessions From N.E.I. For Japan

LONDON, June 19 (UP)—It is reliably reported that the Netherlands East Indies has granted Japan an oil concession of nearly 700,000 acres in Borneo and has recognised the Mang- kalihat Peninsula as a sphere. of interest in the Japanese- controlled Enst Borneo Company, granting the company an oil prospecting concession in the Sangkoolirang region.
