Windsor Mock Gas Attack
A mock gas attack, of which the public had been warned was stuged in Windsor recently, when high concentrations of tear gas were released almuf taneously in all the principal streets.
Most shoppers quickly put on their masks. People not carrying maska | were sent by the police into air rald shelters. Some hid tears streaming down their face. The official verdict was that the exercise was very suc cessful.

was received at Noumea, capital of
the Free French colony of New Caledonia, by the local government. He was cheered by the French and native populations and a dinner was given in his honour by the Governor, M. Sautot.
