Designed by Mr Murray G. Peter- son, Naval Architect, of Marblehead, America, the brigantine is a sister ship to the Don Quixite del Mar, which was built in America in 1937. A slight change in the rigging is the difference between the

vessels.

The vessel appears to be rather small from outward appearances, but the interior is most commodious and well planned. The Chinese and Filipino crew have bunks built for- ward, with the main enbin for the coptain amidships, adjolning which is the saloon and dining room. In the centre of the vessel is the kitchen on
one side and a chart room on the other, with quarters for the first mate and other senior members of the crew.
The bowsprit is adorned with small tenk-wood figure of Our Lady of Peace, painted in gold, and on the transom of the brigantine 15 the Coat of Arms of the City of Manila. She

Merely for Adventure
Colonel Calvo said that the pur- pose of the trip was merely one of adventure, but they would try to re- cover some of their expenses by selling photographs of their journey to various magazines, and he would probably write a book about the trip, which fa expected to last about two years, and also to write something about his flight to Spain. He recall- ed that the cost of the night to Spain was over 20,000 pesos. The plane, valued at 18,000 pesos, was lost in Spain, and petrol amounted to about 3,000 pesos.
The adventurers on the trip will include Mr Rafael d'Almeida, Mr Adolf Fernandez, a newsreel photo- grapher, and a crew two Chinese and two Filipinos.

All the above are incorporated la "The Great Dictator", which is now showing at the Oriental Theatre, at popular prices. There is a great de- mand for seats at all performances and indications are that the picture will have record run at this popu far theatre.
