Kaynes, member of the Economic Advisory Council, Is making a brief visit to Washington at the request of the Chancellor of the Exchequer to confer with the United States Ad- ministration and the British Supply Council on the operation of the Lense und Lend Act and other related malters.

Model Refugee Settlement Makes Good Progress In First Year
A model settlement project for European refugees in the Dominican Repub-
lic has grown in a year into a thriving colony of several hundred persons.
