These exclusivo pictures, laken at an important town in South China, show how, desplie hardship and transportation diM- culties due to Japanese bombings, a constant stream of supplies is still being maintained to enable the Chinese Forces to pursue their programme of armed resistance.

A most remarkable pleture is that on the upper right of the page. Vital supplies for the Chinese Army and necessities for civilian existenco continue to pour in from the coast. If motor transport is unavallable, then the goods are transported for fong distances by human carrier, as shown. Thousands and thousands of people are engaged in this work, relying upon their courage. strength and endurance,

;

Oller pictures show the destruction caused by air raids and, in contrast, a charming lacustrine scene which recalls the greatness of China's civilisation; whilst the new spirit of milllary prepared- nem is typised in the plctures of peasant soldiers in the district.
