Argentina Proposes Bill To Gag Press

Newspapers in Buenos Aires, all except the Nazi-Fascist press were up in arms recently over proposed legislation-the Press Control Bill-that they say would effectively gag their free- don and hinder the work of the foreign correspondents.

Editors believe that the bill will not become law, but the fact that it is sponsored personally by Acting President Ramon Castil- lo and Minister of Justice Guillermo Rothe means that the measure is more than a vague threat..
