Flats Blasted Into Shelter
OLD MAN GROANED: RESCUED AFTER FIFTEEN HOURS-

district.
It ploughed straight down through them, exploded when 11 reached the roof of a shelter which ran underneath the flats, and the ruins camc crashing down on the shelter, in which

Within an hour or two, in the darkness and with an intensive raid s going, between 40 and 50 people were heroically rescued from one section of the shelter.

New Colour Fashions
New fashion colours for next spring and summer have now been chosen by the British Colour Council and sent out by them to all the Dominions, the Americas, Switzerland. Sweden and Batavia.
They give suggestions for wool, knitwear, allk, rayon and leather. A special range has been selected for millinery, including Harbour Blue, in tribute to the Navy and the R.A.F.
There are two new greys, Silver Cloud and Smoke Grey; a new dress colour called Greenshadow; Rhythm Blue, an unusual peacock; Amethyst Claud for summer frocks; Comman- der Blue for shoes; Dramatic Bed for gloves.
