Special to the “Telegraph”

TOKYO, Feb. 17 (Domei).-Japan's adherence to the prin ciple of racial equality was re-affirmed by the Foreign Minister Mr Yosuke Matsuoka, at the Diet to-day.

Concurring with the views of the interpellation by Mr Fukuzo Nakayama, former member of the defunct Minscito Party, Mr Matsuoka stated, "Japan must constantly deal with equality towards all races without the slightest discrimination towards any.

"I believe that this constitutes, im portant elements in the spirit of Hakko Ichiu. Since we seem to be born with the same racial discrimina- tion I believe we must discard it so na to provide an example," the Foreign Minister stated.
