MACAO PLAYED LISTLESS FOOTBALL AND WERE BEATEN BY EASTERN 3-1

(By "SCRAMBLER")

UNABLE TO SETTLE DOWN as a combina- tion, The Combined Macao Football team met defeat at the hands of Eastern yesterday at Caro- lino Hill, going down by three goals to one. Per- haps the absence of their captain-centre half player, Collaco, who was provented from coming at the last moment had something to do with their display, for on the whole they played listless foot: ball.

Eastern were undoubtedly superior in every depart- ment, and because of the poor opposition provided they were unable to play as a first division team. However, they settled right down to a fine understanding and com- bination, and although the Macao team drew first blood, this was short lived, Eastern camé back with a splash and a dash to overwork the Macao's defence.
