CAIRO, Dec^ 13 `(UP)...---The R.A.F. dropped tons of bombs ́on the harbour of Tobruk last night. The announcement said: "The attack was particularly heavy and fires were observed burning fiercely in many places, while there were violent cx- plosions and fires near the petrol dump in El Sollum bay. All the heavy explosions were in the vicinity of the ammunition stores."
The announcement added that attacks were made on enemy aerodromes, troops motor transport and concentrations in Libya throughout the night and on Thursday. Heavy raids were also made on Bardia and "bombs caused violent explosions which resulted in flames rising 1,000 feet." Enemy aircraft on the ground was machine-gunned and three were destroyed.
