LONDON, Dec. 8 (Reuter)-A chance to turn the Italian reverses into a complete rout and to win for France' a “victory of the Mediterranean now presents. itself to the French fleet and to French armies in North Africa and Syria, said General de Gaulle, the Free French leader, broadcasting a strong appeal from here to-night to those forces "not to miss the opportunity.".
He appealed to French
admirals, generals,
officere, soldiers, sailors and airmen throughout the French Empire to unite with free Frenchmen and to fight on with the allies for the liberation of France.
De Gaulle said: "Events are giving for the magnificent opportunity French Army to re-enter the war und to take part in the final victory."

LONDON, Dec. 8 (Reiter),—More warships will shortly be put into commission for the Free French Navy. These and a number of destroyers, torpedo-boats, submarines, mine- layers, minesweepers and patrol boats will be inspected by General de Gaulle in naval bases in England.
De Gaulle visited the training ship I used as a naval academy of the Free French feet where future ofcers are trained.
