Police R. C. Gifts To Bomber Fund

.שיד

TWO GIFTS of 3100 · each were made to the "8.0.M.Post" and "H.K. tho Telegraph" Bomber Fund at Anaital Meeting of the Police Res creation Club, held yesterday. First of these was by Mr. A. F. Estall, who as retiring Bar convener was voted an extra 8100 honorarium, but who, in expressing thanks, sinted that that aum would be devoted to the Fund. The second was $100 honorariam due to Mr. Glendinning,' former grounds- man, but who had left the Colony. This was made by the Club,

Mr. C. G. Perdue, Acting Com- missioner of Police, was in the Chair, and was assisted by Mr. J. C. S. Fender (retiring Chairman), Mr. W. Nolloth (Secretary), Mr. R. B. Davies (Treasurer), Mr. R. II. E. Marks and Mr. A, J. C. Taylor. (auditor).

Mr. Fender drew attention to the satisfactory financial position, which showed a balance of income over ex- penditure of“ - $1,554.22. Membership stood at 302.

The following offer bearers were electedChairman, Mr. E. G. Post; Secretary, Mr, T. McMahon; Treasurer. Mr. F. Channing; Bar Convenor, Mr. F. Channing: Auditor, Mr. A. J. C. Nolan: Golf re- presentative, Mr. '3. W. McDonald.

An Innovation was made by the op- pointment of the one officer as treasurer and bar convenor, owing to the dim! culty of running the club efficiently without full co-operation between both) officials. It was felt that a combination of the posts would eleminate overlop.

It was decided to give the retiring] omcials honararia as follows.-Trea surer, $300: Secretary, $200; Bar Con venor, $200; Groundiman, $100, previous year's honararium to the bar
