CHURCHILL
OF
DEFENCE MEDITERRANEAN
LONDON, Nov. 21 (Reuter) -Mr. Winston Churchill referred to the war situation in the Mediterranean when speaking in the House of Com- mons to-day.
"Thero are two wars going on there," he said. “There is the defence of Egypt and the Suez Canal against greatly superior numbers of the enemy. This defence some months ago looked a rather difficult and doubtful affair but at the present time we have confidence that we shall be able to give a good account of ourselves when the invading forces fall upon us.

The Committee issued a 500-page report based on documents seized in raids on German business firms in New York and the Trans-ocean News Service which is described as a propaganda medium.
The report claimed the Com- mittee had uncovered a German plan to gear American trade and commerce to German economy after the war.
It said: "Tho German Embassy and various German Consulates throughout the country takes a lively interest in spreading the work of Trans-ocean.**
