Mr. Roosevelt's Third Term Cabinet: Speculation Rife
WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 (Reuter)Washington is already humming with rumours con- cerning the new administration which will come into office in January.
It is expected that all members of the Cabinet will in due course follow the example set by Mr. Harold Ickes, Secretary of the Interior, who announced his resignation earlier.
Much interest in focussed on the State Department. Mr. Cordell Hull, the present Secretary, of State, was exceedingly cautious when questioned this morning concerning his plans, but it is widely bolleved that Presi- dent Roosevelt is eager to retain his services.
Mr. Cordell Hull, on the other hand, might plead old nge, for it is known that he is anxious to retire to private, life. Some months ago, however, he said that he would make any snerifice necessary in the Interests of the State at a Lie of crisis.
It is, therefore, generally expected that Mr. Cordell 'Hull will remain in affles, thereby ensuring the conling- ance of the polley hitherto followed.
