MALTA AND ABYSSINIA AIR ATTACKS REPORTED
CAIRO, Nov. 3 (Reuter).-Two formations of enemy bombers, escorted by Bighter plance, which raided Malta on Saturday were engaged: by R.A.F. fghters with the result that one enemy fighter was shot down, another was destroyed by anti-aircraft fire and two other enemy fighters were damaged by R.A.F. fighters.
The raiders caused little damage and no casualties. It is believed that a third aircraft was shot down but this is unconfirmed.
An attack was made by R.A.F. aircraft on enemy transport moving along the Metemma- Gondar (Abyssinia) road and four direct hits were registered on the transport.
