THE Commander, the officers, and a number of the crew of the submarine Shark, presumed lost in July, are believed to be safe.
Two letters from Lieut.-Commander Peter Noel Buckley. in command of the sub- marine, reached his parents' home in Cheshire on Saturday and stated that he was safe in hospital in Norway.
Although wounded in the head and knee, he wrote that he was "getting on well and being well looked after."
